Day 2

Here we are at the end of day two. Lots of walking, plenty of sun and touring.

We started the day with a ferry ride to see Lady Liberty. Lines were not too terrible once we figured out where we were going; there are so many people going in so many different direction, if you choose to try to follow the wrong ones, you never know where they will bring you! We were able to secure a rail position to get great pictures. It amazing how many people were on that boat with us taking the exact same picture! We figure if you wanted to rob a boat of tourist, you could probably easily get 10k in camera/electronic paraphernalia.

After the statue, we were suppose to visit the 9/11 memorial, but missed out call time and I forgot the papers, so we just had lunch and headed back to our room to change for Newsies, take two! When we arrived at the Nederlander, we were surprised to see so many people lined up waiting to go in. The line literally wrapped around the block. I guess I must've been early to other shows I've seen in NYC, because I've never experienced that. We waited until the very end to go in and sat a minute before it started. The show was amazing; we had awesome front row balcony seats. Almost all the cast is making their broadway debut and they did a fantastic job. The dancing/choreography is dynamic. After the show, I was able to get quite a few of the actors autographs. No idea who most of them were when they were signing, but it's all part of the experience.

A quick dinner was followed by a little shopping in Times Square for the kiddos at the Disney store. Nothing says NYC like a Princess Sofia doll and Woody :)

Tomorrow brings another attempt at the 9/11, a walk among Wall Street, the Daily Show, and Empire State Building!
