Everything is on schedule and measuring at a perfect 21 weeks (which I hear is almost never heard of)! I went to the doctor for a level 2 ultrasound to check on a ‘bright’ spot on the heart. Turns out it is just extra cartilage that should go away within a year of birth. It was exciting to see Sugar again. This time there was very little movement; just a little arm here and a leg there. At one point, the legs were completely stretched out! That was cool to see that there’s enough room in there to do that; guess at this point Sugar is still small enough. The nice thing was that my mom (Nana) was able to be there with me and actually see Sugar yawning at one point. I am also getting a little bump which becomes more pronounced as the weeks go by! Next appointment isn’t until after Christmas, so I’m sure we’ll have another update around that time.
